DIY Cluster Lashes: A Beginner's Guide

DIY Cluster Lashes: A Beginner's Guide

Lash appointments are lovely, but they take time and add up. Cluster lashes let you build your own look at home, one small section at a time.

Choose your style

  • 20D Natural: soft, everyday definition
  • 30D Soft Volume: a little more fullness
  • 40D Full Volume: noticeably fuller
  • 50D Dramatic: for when you want to be seen

How to apply (about 10–15 minutes once you get the hang of it)

  1. Clean lashes. Start with clean, makeup-free lashes.
  2. Pick up a cluster with the tweezers, holding it near the base.
  3. Apply bond to the base of the cluster.
  4. Place it close to your lash line, just under your natural lashes, and hold for a few seconds.
  5. Repeat across the eye, spacing clusters evenly. Start with the outer corner for a lifted look.
  6. Seal along the base to finish.

Beginner tips

  • Start with 3–5 clusters per eye for a light look and add more as you get comfortable.
  • Mix lengths: shorter in the inner corner, longer on the outer.
  • Use a mirror on a table so you can look down at it, instead of holding it up.
  • Be patient with your first try. It gets easier fast.
